When Leo and Pat Fascianella planned to open
their restaurant they faced a daunting question. How will a restaurant
serving old-world Italian dishes prosper in the meat-and-potato
mindset of Nebraska's Midwest culture? Very well it appears. The
result of their hard work was Pasta Amore, a place for Omahans
to go if they want to sample the very best in Italian cuisine.
Pasta Amore is truly a family affair. The husband and wife team
split the restaurant duties to match their strengths. Leo is the
head chef and oversees the food preparation and beverage duties.
Pat runs the front of the house, coordinates the staff, negotiates
catering contracts and heads public relations. Their
three children also split duties amongst themselves when it
comes to the cooking and the cleaning.
It took time, effort, plus enduring a
lot of lean months, but today the restaurant is thriving. Leo
credits their success to several factors: Commitment to customer
service, freshness of the food and the health conscious trend
sweeping the nation. It is a proven fact that pasta is a very
healthy food and the pasta at Pasta Amore is made fresh everyday
by Leo himself. Leo feels such attention to detail is vital in
order to achieve the integrity of the dishes the restaurant serves.
Everything created by Chef Leo and his staff is made fresh everyday
with natural ingredients.
